Zabbix agent reading proc files

Hey all,

I'm started to look into what the `zabbix-agent` is doing in order to understand the effect it has on my system.
I have come across the fact that the agent is excessively reading the `/proc` files.

• cmdline
• stat

Every 2seconds it read all the different pids cmdline and stat file.

Any idea why?
Why so frequently?
What process/check is causing it?

process and logfile monitoring I suppose... depends on your update frequency I think.

The 'checker's that are causing this issue are the proc.*

The `proc.cpu.util` and the `proc.mem` are reading those files in order to retrieve the requested data.
