Does Zabbix proxy have a dedicated web interface?

Hello,

Currently we have a problem regarding the monitoring solution that we should chose ,after carefully checking what Zabbix can offer I could say it is the perfect solution for our needs.
just only one thing I want to clarify :

The plan is to have Zabbix server in the main site and use Zabbix proxies on the other sites ,
well, some of the sites are in continues move and they connect to the main site using satellite connection and due the fact that some time we face unstable satellite connection we need to provide the concerned people on those sites with a dedicated web interface showing the data collected data by Zabbix proxy so the can check without accessing the main Zabbix server dashboard.

is this possible ? Does Zabbix proxy have a dedicated web interface?

No, proxy does not have any Web interface or even stored data. it's a worker that passes metrics to main server or executes commamds and even if it's stores some data it's just for short time.

Why not to have either vpn or Web interface in cloud somewhere?
if you don't want to move zabbix server to cloud then maybe get grafana in cloud that connects via api to zabbix and acces it this way? Or even grafana on same host with proxy but you still would have to connect to main server via api

I know connection is unstable but there isn't another way.


But if you care only to "see current values":
in theory you can get grafana also installed and locally connected to proxy database and display "live data" but this will be only "current data" without graphs, triggers etc. You can fine-tune proxy to storr more data with long houskeeping and this way you can get minimalistic " graph"

i never investigated data in proxy db, but maybe it would be possible. You will have to get hands on some db documentation and then manually configure queries in grafana

If you go few version back, zabbix proxy has web interface, but it will be also shame to go back in version.
