Remote agent to also monitor camera (ping)

I have Zabbix agent on a Windows PC reporting (active) over the internet to my Zabbix server.

I would like this Windows Zabbis agent to also monitor a IP based camera on that network, and if it cant ping it for more than say 5 minutes in a row, report this error.

    Is this possible?

    Is it something like : UserParameter=CheckVPN,fping x.x.x.x | grep alive | wc -l

    Cheers

    Al

icmpping is executed on server/proxy. So pinging from agent cannot be done by using this item..

But doing it with userparameter should work. Example looks usable.. you might want to use "fping -q" to ignore ping errors etc.. (Don't show per-probe results, but only the final summary. Also don't show ICMP error messages.)

Yes - you are absolutely right - I forgot this... sorry

If the host is under unix, then Userparameter.
if under windows, then there is another solution - https://www.zabbix.com/forum/zabbix-...s-agent-by-wmi
