Zabbix downtimes caused by process overload

    Hey,

I think I have a good Zabbix configuration but my Server got some downtimes. I can often read the following errors:

"Zabbix housekeeper processes more than 75% busy"

"Zabbix history syncer processes more than 75% busy"

Here are screenshots of my Zabbix. Any suggestions? I tried everything ...

I tried all this steps as well:

    - Reduced history retention periods

    - Reduced new values per second (from 980 to 585)

    - Tuned the database. Based on the Zabbix manual

    Hi proesler,

    we need more info!

585nvps are high, so please post you database configuration (my.cnf or posgresql.conf) and also on which server are you running zabbixserver and database.

do you use partitioning tables? how often is the housekeeper process running? how big is you database?

    Edit:
i see you monitor "only" 62 hosts and nearly 30k items.. ehm what are you doing/monitoring?
    Debian-User

    Sorry for my bad english

https://www.zabbix.org/wiki/Docs/howto/mysql_partition if you are using mysql.
Using google you can find partitioning solutions if you are using other DB backends.

Housekeeper must die. Just clean it up manually or with partitioning.
