I have a zabbix server (2.4), with multiple zabbix proxies reporting to it as well as several hundred devices, all working well.
Normal/matched traps are forwarded/logged properly on the server from hosts on the far side of the proxies as well as devices reporting directly to the server (not through a proxy).
The issue I'm having is that unmatched traps are only logged in the proxies zabbix-proxy.log as being unmatched and are not forwarded on to the server. I do have a fallback template on the zabbix server, and I received unmatched traps for devices reporting directly to the zabbix server.
Is there a way to apply a fallback template to the proxy itself that would allow these unmatched traps to be forwarded on so notifications can be sent. Often unmatched traps are some of the most interesting
I've googled and read the forums for quite a few hours but haven't found anything related to this particular issue.
Some more details... all the proxies I'm working with are mostly CentOS 7, setup with networks behind their firewalls with multiple devices reporting to them.
