My problem is that the triggers showing up as "UNKNOWN" are default triggers from SNMPv2 device template, which should work out of the box. Data for these triggers are collected normally.

Example:

Item: ifInOctets4 (from template)

Trigger:
{Template_Routers_Drayteq_Vigor_2200E:ifInOctets4. delta(0)}>150000

Latest data:
Description Last check Last value Change
ifInOctets4 11 Jan 2010 22:42:36 1578214700 +10040

This trigger stays in unknown status.


What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

I need say that will be good if (ate least) we get a option (checkbox?!?!?) to choose if we want view this 'UNKNOWN' triggers or not.

We have used a lot of maps with custom images ... afeter this new feature our maps/screens become very ugly.

So ... to ZABBIX TRAPPER itens we'll get UNKNOWN till ZABBIX receive one value ... its a bad thing. We dint expect have UNKNOWN in this case.

A sugestion is to have a new area (in admn tab) 'Unknow triggers and unsupported itens' ... so admins will can see this erros.

there's no short-term plan for changes to the maps, however in 1.8 it should be much easier to find unsupported items - in the new item filter just set it to filter for all hostgroups and hosts and show items in unsupported state
