no communication between server - agent,

Hi guys,

I've compiled zabbix 2.01 on an 12.04 Ubuntu box. Which runs okay, the server connects to the locally installed agent.

But it fails to connect to an agent running on a windows box ( on a different network ). The 'Z' does not go green.

The frontend doesn't specify an error, nor does the server.log.

When I do a tshark trace to the client I see my manually generated traffic going to the host.

An zabbix_get to the agent for ping or version gets an reply back from the agent and if I check the agents logs I see these request coming in.

But it fails from the zabbix server / frontend.

Does anybody have some hints, ideas to get this fixed ?

Okay,

So I decided to take another coffee, and had a fresh look at the problem.

I had source ip in the server.conf on 127.0.0.1 , changed it to the network ip and than it started working.
