    convert SNMP ifInOctets in "ifin-kBit"

    Hi,
    i have the same problem as in that Thread http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5284.

    We can not convert SNMP ifInOctets / ifOutOctets in "ifin-kBit" / "ifOut-kBit"?

    Does anybody know a formula to calculate this?

    Ideas?

      Input utilization =(delta(ifInOctets) x 8 x 100) : ((number of seconds in delta) x ifSpeed)


      Output utilization = (delta(ifOutOctets) x 8 x 100) : ((number of seconds in delta) x ifSpeed)



      as I can realize this formula in zabbix??

          Use multiplier in item definition. Why divide by ifSpeed? I don't get it.

                  That config should work.

                  By dividing by ifSpeed you get % utilization instead of bytes transferred.

                  I would rather have zabbix do what it does (store bytes per second) and set a maximum on the graph so you can just visually see the percentage used.
