vSphere and Hypervisor templates after update to 2.2

Hi!
Today I've updated zabbix from 2.0.9 to 2.2. Looks like everything is fine except for one thing: there is no vSphere and hypervisor templates in templates list.
My installation is: CentOS 6.4, PostgreSQL 9.2, apache. Zabbix was installed and updated via official zabbix repositories.
So my question is: where I can get those templates? And
whether they were to appear after update or not?

The templates are only included if you compile the source code. Not when you do an upgrade from a previous version. There are a few posts in the forums that point to where you can get the templates, but I will past the link here.

It might be an idea to put a copy of any new templates in the misc folder in the source for those upgrading and not doing a fresh install. That way they can access the new stuff without having to do a fresh db install, extract templates and then reload their data.

2.0.9 -> 2.2.0 upgrade does not add VMWare templates

I disagree when you state that just by upgrading from source, the VMWare templates get installed. They didn't for me and I did follow the instructions.

I did compile from source, both when installing 2.0.9, and when upgrading to 2.2.0.

The VMWare templates are not installed during the process. I did read the upgrade notes and followed the procedures.

Zabbix Server Log shows it did upgrade the database, and has VMWare monitoring enabled.

Ok, let me clarify.

I didn't say upgrading from source. I said compiling from source. Fresh install. That's the only way that I have tried it so far. I didn't have an instance where I could upgrade yet.

With that being said, I take your word that when you compile from source and upgrade from a previous version, that the templates are not included. And thank you for mentioning that.

For anyone else who has upgraded to 2.2.0 and doesn't see the templates, you just have to download/install them manually via the GUI.

Download templates from:

Download/install the following ones, making sure to install Virt_VMware last (Zabbix has a tech note about the order, I'm not just making this up).
Template_Virt_VMware_Guest-2.2.0.xml
Template_Virt_VMware_Hypervisor-2.2.0.xml
Template_Virt_VMware-2.2.0.xml

hy guys!

Im trying to install 2.2 for tests and Im using the option for vmware... --with-libxml2


when i try to ./configure i got the output:

configure: error: LIBXML2 library not found

but if I've checked the lib, and I got:
Package libxml2-2.7.6-12.el6_4.1.x86_64 already installed and latest version
(centOS 6.4)

Should I use any other package?

Import fails

Hello Guys,
juts performed an update from sources (2.0.6 -> 2.2.3) and everything worked just fine, no error in the logs and old data is still there.
I'm now trying to import the new templates for VMware monitoring but import fails withe the attached errors.
Can you please help me ?

just a guess - did you observe the sequence in which to import the templates, as per the note on the template page ?
