Warning notifications won't disappear after 7 days

Hi, I'm using Zabbix 2.4.5 on Ubuntu, and I've tried to make the warning messages go away after a week, but it doesn't delete them.



The maximum age of notifications is set to 7 days. So why do I still have events from 12 days old? And how do I delete them once they are...

I have a couple of queries regarding data retention:-

1./ if i reduce the history retention period from 3 months ( current ) to 1 month , in my items , will the history table be pruned accordingly ?

2./ does 1 year trend data mean 9 months trend + 3...

I've had events and triggers go off, but just minutes later they vanish from the web interface.

e.g.: a machine has low memory, a trigger goes off and sends a message. It is resolved, and an hour later when I have time to investigate I check zabbix web interface for the problem.

I'm in need of a way to document issues within Zabbix.

When a host goes down and we either acknowledge or write a comment on it.
The comment will disappear in time, while acknowledgement stays.

We have a few of these wonderful routers/hosts (not always the same)...

With Zabbix 2.0.5, neither the web interface nor the API appear to provide a way to change the data retention (history) period for items created by web scenarios.

According to the documentation, such items default to 30 days history and 90 days of trends.

Back in Zabbix...

I changed the template in a host so as to arrange items disk.
Using unlink and clear the old items were lost, losing along the historic discs.

Seeking to improve the administration, it is possible with some trick, migrate or keep history or trends?

Currently if I extend the period of a graph beyond ~3.5 days my graphs display no data. Under 3.5 days and I see history data. I do not keep trends, if I enable trends then I get trend data beyond 3.5 days.

I'd like zabbix to always use historical data instead of trends for ALL time periods,...
