Senior System and Network Administrator
Standort: Zabbix Headquarters, Riga, Latvia
As a part of our team you will:
- Lead and mentor a small team of system administrators. Help build an ownership and accountability culture
- Design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure: servers (mostly Linux), network (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls), and cloud services
- Drive maturity: introduce clear processes for change management, incident response, task prioritization, onboarding/offboarding, and documentation. Partner with management to define and execute an IT operations roadmap, covering support services, infrastructure improvements, tooling strategy, and third-party vendors, ensuring both short and long-term organizational needs are met
- Maintain and improve network security and performance, including firewalls, access control, log monitoring, patching, and auditing
- Support endpoint management: provisioning, updates, OS configuration (Linux, macOS, Windows), MDM where applicable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, cybersecurity, customer support, etc.) to align IT practices with business needs
- Coordinate infrastructure projects and serve as the bridge between strategic goals and daily operations
- Evaluate new tools, vendors, and automation opportunities (ITAM, CMDB, backup, password management, etc.)
- Support hybrid infrastructure: assist in integrating cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) with on-prem components
- Manage and provide technical support to end-users and assist with resolving technical issues
- Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation and procedures
What we expect:
- Higher education in computer science (or related area)
- Working experience in a similar position 5+ years with team coordination or senior/lead experience
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, or similar); working knowledge of Windows/macOS environments
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, VPN, firewalls, VLANs
- Experience administering the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including familiarity with device management and Zero Trust principles
- Understanding of Active Directory structures and the ability to manage GPOs and user permissions
- Familiarity with Atlassian products - such as user and group management and permissions - is also expected
- Experience with automation/configuration tools is a plus: Ansible, Terraform, or similar
- Experience with Git, CI/CD environments and monitoring tools is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured, methodical mindset
- Responsible, self-organized, and process-driven
- Very good knowledge of technical English

Vergütung:
- Monthly salary (gross): 3600.00 to 3900.00 EUR
