Avaibility in grey with no error in the logs

The ZBX status refers to the presence or not of the Zabbix Agent
The SNMP status refers to the response of the Host to SNMP queries
ICMP ping shows none of this, here is an example from my server of:
1- a host using both the agent and SNMP
2- a host using ICMP ping template only...

Search for "zabbix agent grey" or read the documentation (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...guration/hosts) and you'll see that active agent status is not ever going to go green in Zabbix 6.0 or older.

Welp, got some progress(?), I forced the port on the agent config file on the macbook, and now I get a ZBX in red status (before it was grey, see image below).

I’m getting SNMP metrics from the device (interface status, uptime, temp, etc)

the impact is that in Latest Data is will show a grey item and it says Status: 'Not supported' in Items.

If they wore green and now their status is grey that could mean two things:

1. Agents are unavailable. Check if the data is collected (latest data) for hosts. Check out error messages on items.
2. Agents are available (data should be visible on the latest data tool) but they are using active agent mo

Only agents that work in passive mode have that green status indicator if they are available and red if not.
