The Zabbix web frontend is used daily by organizations around the world to monitor critical infrastructure, applications, and services. As a PHP Developer, you'll contribute directly to the development of one of the world's leading open-source monitoring platforms, helping improve functionality, usability, and reliability for millions of users.

Monthly salary (gross): € 2.400 – € 5.000. The final offer will depend on your skills, experience, and overall fit for the role.
As part of our Engineering team, you'll contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Zabbix frontend and related components.
You will:
- Write high quality and easily maintainable code according to company guidelines
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Zabbix monitoring software
- Be responsible to perform code review and testing, provide technical recommendations
- Mentor and train junior software developers
- Support the whole software development and maintenance life cycle
- Play an active role in shaping the architecture of the code, contributing to its evolution (for senior level)
- Design and implement tests to ensure code quality and reliability
Key requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role (Mid-level) or 5+ years (Senior-level)
- Excellent knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Understanding of database types and their functionality
- Ability to participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution planning
- Experience working with software development best practices and code reviews
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Good technical English communication skills
Bonus skills
- Experience with PHPUnit, Selenium, and Linux
- Experience with Yii Framework, Bootstrap, or third-party integrations
- Previous experience preparing technical specifications
- Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns
- Experience contributing to large-scale or open-source projects
