Zabbix strengthens open source's leadership as a strategic driver of innovation in Latin America

The Zabbix Latam 2025 Conference hosted a strategic debate on the role of open source in today's business landscape. The event marked the first day of the event, considered the largest on monitoring and Zabbix in Latin America, and brought together Alexei Vladishev (Global CEO and Founder of Zabbix), Luciano Alves (CEO of Zabbix Latam), Maurício Magalhães (Associate Director of Kyndryl Global), Jorge Pretel (CEO of JLCP, Zabbix Premium Partner Brazil), and Juan Guido Camaño (CEO of CTL Technology Information, Zabbix Certified Partner Argentina). The executives shared experiences and perspectives on how open source technology is driving business results. 

The highlight was the growing market maturity regarding professional open source. Cases like Kyndryl, which began its journey with Zabbix in Brazil and is now adopting it globally, reinforce that adoption goes beyond technology: it's a commitment to efficiency, flexibility, and interoperability. "By investing in the Zabbix business model, not just the tool, we're able to align the technology with the corporate strategy," said Maurício Magalhães. Alexei Vladishev presented Zabbix's vision for the platform's evolution: from an infrastructure monitoring solution to a product that, in its 8.0 version, planned in the tool's roadmap, will address the topic of observability. Integration with OpenTelemetry, a feature planned for Q4 2025, positions Zabbix from an infrastructure monitoring tool to an observability platform. Jorge Pretel and Juan Guido, who work in the Brazilian and Argentine markets, respectively, highlighted the importance of Zabbix business partners acting not only as technical support but also as strategic consultants. "Our mission is to elevate the tool's use from operational to strategic, promoting a culture of observability and business performance," Camaño emphasized.
