Zabbix is a powerful brain for data analysis, but in the physical world of server room, production halls and critical infrastructure, it often lacks the "senses" to feel the environment. Traditional monitoring solutions often trap data in proprietary clouds, creating security risks. In this session, we will demonstrate how to give your Zabbix sight, hearing, and smell using custom-engineered, Zabbix-native hardware. We will dive into the architecture of BV Monitoring modules that utilize Low-Level Discovery (LLD) for seamless, zero-touch configuration of temperature, humidity, and power sensors. The highlight of the presentation is a unique "Safety & OT" case study - we will show how we integrated physical sensors, alarm and fire safety systems. Learn how a simple hardware signal, processed by Zabbix, can trigger a custom Windows Service to instantly lock all workstation screens and display mandatory evacuation instructions. This substantially extends the range of Zabbix applications to industrial environments and commercial sectors such as cold‑chain monitoring, while also expanding data‑center deployments by incorporating monitoring of HVAC, power infrastructure, and other server‑room equipment. In my experience, Zabbix is a very reliable platform for monitoring infrastructure and application metrics. However, in large and distributed environments, metrics alone are often not enough to understand why something is happening in the network. In this session, I will present a practical approach to extending Zabbix with external data pipelines. I’ll show how we can combine traditional metrics with enriched flow data and contextual analytics to get a much deeper understanding of network behavior. This includes integrating Zabbix with external systems via APIs, streaming, and event forwarding to improve visibility into performance, security, and user activity. Based on real-world scenarios from enterprise and service provider environments, I will demonstrate how Zabbix alerts can be enriched with network traffic context. This allows teams to significantly speed up root cause analysis and reduce mean time to resolution. In practice, combining flow analytics with metrics transforms raw data into actionable insights for both NOC and SOC teams. During the session, I will cover: • How I integrate Zabbix with external data processing systems using APIs and streaming • How I correlate metrics with network flow data to gain deeper insights • How I extend Zabbix beyond monitoring into observability and security workflows • Practical architectures that I have seen working in large-scale environments My goal is to show how Zabbix can become not just a monitoring system, but a central component of a broader observability and decision-making ecosystem. Cancellation of registration by attendee: Cancellation of registration by attendee Zabbix SIA is an organizer of the Zabbix Conference Poland 2026, hereinafter – Event, which will take place at the Mercure Warszawa Grand, Poland, from May 13-14, 2026. Cancellation of registration must be submitted by attendee in writing via mail, or e-mail, and such notice of cancellation is valid only with the acknowledgment of receipt by Zabbix SIA. Contact information can be found on the Contacts Page. If event registrations are cancelled by the attendee on or before April 1st, 2026, the attendee will be entitled to a full refund of the price of Event Participation ticket. If Event registration is cancelled by the attendee between April 1st, 2026 and April 15th, 2026, the attendee will be entitled to a 50% refund of the registered package fee price of the Event Participation ticket. There will be no refund to the attendee for the Event Participation ticket if Event registration is cancelled by the attendee after April 16th, 2026.
Cancellation of registration by Zabbix SIA: Zabbix SIA reserves the right to cancel Event registration unilaterally, if it becomes obvious that Event will have to be cancelled for reasons beyond control of Zabbix SIA (including but not limited to force majeure event, like war, riot, fire, natural disaster, strike, acts and advice of government and health authorities and organizations, terrorism, epidemics, civil disorder, and any other cause beyond control of Zabbix SIA). In case of unilateral cancellation of Event registration by Zabbix SIA, Zabbix SIA must notify the attendee as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than within 2 business days after becoming aware of the cause beyond control of Zabbix SIA due to which Event must be cancelled; and the attendee will be entitled to a full refund of the price of Event Participation ticket solely. Hotel stay included in Event Participation tickets such as the Full Participation package, Zabbix Fan package or Speaker package will only be reimbursed for hotel rooms arranged by Zabbix and will not be reimbursed for hotel stay arranged independently by the attendee elsewhere. Otherwise, no accommodation expenses incurred by the attendee due to planned participation in the Event will be compensated by Zabbix SIA.
Payment: Full payment must be made prior to attendance at the conference. Zabbix SIA delegated conducting of all necessary activities related to receiving payment from the Event’s attendees for the Event to its Partner in the Poland - Aplitt sp. z o.o., address: Gdańsk (80-387) at ul. Arkońska 11, Poland, website: https://aplitt.pl/. Your registration will be acknowledged by an e-mail immediately but will not be confirmed until full payment is received. Registrations must be completed with full payment within the given deadlines stated on the invoice. Zabbix SIA reserves the right to reallocate / cancel any registrations which do not meet these payment terms.
Participation limitations: Participation in the Event and Event activities is strictly limited to fully paid attendees. No children or minors under the age of eighteen (18) are allowed to participate in the Event or Event activities.
The right to change any Conference event: Zabbix SIA reserves the right to postpone, cancel, change location of, or otherwise alter any event of the Event’s program at short notice. All Event registrations will remain valid in case of such event’s postponement, cancellation or altering.
Photography, video, and audio recording: Presentations and events at the Event may be recorded and later made available to other participants and/or third parties. Upon registration, the Event’s attendee permits the publication of any recordings made during the Event.
Intellectual property: Products and product names mentioned on this site are registered trademarks of their respective owners. All Event graphics and materials are owned by Zabbix SIA. Speakers grant Zabbix SIA a perpetual, worldwide license to use and publish the content of their presentations.
