Software Security Engineer

Ubicación: Zabbix Headquarters, Riga, Latvia

As a part of our team you will:

• Being responsible for implementing, testing and operating advanced software security solutions and techniques in the company
• Performing ongoing security testing and code review to improve software security
• Consult and educate team members on secure coding practices
• Provide security guidance to the development team
• Build threat models and conduct risk assessments for new features and services
• Contribute to all levels of the architecture
• Maintain technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
• Develop security tools and automation
• Identify, triage, resolve, and manage security vulnerabilities identified in Zabbix products, and perform internal penetration tests
• Make security an integral part of our CI/CD pipeline
• Perform reactive incident response if a security event occurs
• Collaborate with independent penetration testers

What we expect:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 2 years experience as a Software Security Engineer or similar role
• 3 years of experience in software development environments (C/C++, PHP, JavaScript…)
• Solid experience with developing software
• Have a strong understanding of Web application security, including hands-on exploitation skills
• Have familiarity with secure development practices and security testing techniques (SAST, DAST, fuzzing, etc.)
• Have experience with Linux/Unix system
• Be able to communicate in a concise and clear manner in English
• Experience running a bug bounty program is a plus

Remuneración:

• Remuneración mensual: 3500.00 to 4300.00 EUR
