Zabbix Labs wraps up April with success in Jequié and Salvador: more than 170 professionals participated in the roadshows
April marked an excellent start to the Zabbix Labs 2025 roadshow, with two new events held in Jequié and Salvador, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. These in-person, free events focused on the technical training of professional teams and reinforced Zabbix’s commitment to spreading knowledge about its open-source monitoring tool.
On Monday, April 28, the Federal Institute of Bahia – Jequié Campus welcomed 108 participants, including professionals from 11 companies and representatives from 4 educational institutions.
The next stop took place on Wednesday, April 30, in Salvador, closing the month of Zabbix Labs with 65 participants from 39 companies. The event was supported by HUB Salvador.
Hands-on training with educational support
The Zabbix Labs 2025 editions in Bahia are part of Zabbix’s educational movement in the region.
The partnership with the Federal Institute of Bahia began in 2024 during the Zabbix Conference Latam, and both editions of the project are a result of the collaboration established in the area.
According to Fernanda Moraes, Head of Communications & Marketing for Zabbix in Latin America, cooperating with educational institutions is part of Zabbix's mission:
“We genuinely want to spark the desire to expand Zabbix knowledge among future professionals, continuously strengthening and empowering our technical community.”
Participants learn how to apply Zabbix in real-world scenarios
The sessions were led by Victor Breda Credidio, Zabbix Trainer and Support Engineer at Zabbix, who guided participants through hands-on activities such as:
- Alert automation via Telegram
- API integration for automated tasks
- Event correlation and smart monitoring
Edvan Barros, IT Infrastructure Specialist, highlighted:
“What I like most is that it's a free and open-source tool… and it’s always up to date with the latest market trends. It never lags behind, especially when it comes to observability.”
Among the Zabbix Labs attendees, Nicole Silva, IT Specialist, shared her experience attending a Zabbix event for the first time:
“Until now, I had only worked with paid tools, and Zabbix gave me a broader and more complete view of all services. I can now do everything in one place. That’s been very important because I can even apply it in my daily work.”
