Zabbix Conference Latam 2025 Concludes, Reinforcing Multinational Growth in the Latin American Market

With 4 technical labs, 18 talks, 1 business panel, as well as business meetings, networking, and various activities from our exhibitors and partners, the Zabbix Conference Latam 2025 ended with great success, reaffirming its commitment to boosting growth in the Latin American market. Approximately 350 people attended the event.

<pThe morning of Saturday (7/6) began in the event hall of the Wyndham Ibirapuera Hotel in São Paulo. Four technical labs were delivered in Spanish to an audience eager to deepen their knowledge of the Zabbix tool. One of the highlights was Gustavo Guido, Director of Custos Monitoring, a Certified Partner and Zabbix Certified Trainer since 2018, who presented the workshop “Authentication and Function Reuse with Macros.” The session introduced an efficient solution for using APIs that require recurring authentication, explaining strategies such as periodic token acquisition and intelligent error handling, ensuring data continuity, reducing the volume of calls, and facilitating code maintenance.

From the Zabbix team, Facundo Vilarnovo, Zabbix Trainer in Argentina and member of the Zabbix Global Support Team, led the workshop “Deploying Secure Environments in Zabbix,” explaining the key practices to ensure Zabbix security and efficiency:

“In this interactive session, the goal was to demonstrate how to strengthen your Zabbix security by integrating it with HashiCorp Vault. Participants learned how to centrally and securely manage credentials for monitored hosts, as well as for the server database and frontend, applying best practices to significantly elevate the monitoring infrastructure’s security posture and gaining hands-on experience with implementation,” said Vilarnovo.

The technical labs presented were:

  • Analyzing Suricata Data with Zabbix, Paulo Deolindo, Zabbix Trainer, Unirede Inteligência em TI, Brazil.
  • Authentication and Function Reuse with Macros, Gustavo Guido, Director, Custos Monitoring, Uruguay.
  • What’s New in 7.4: Implementing Network Maps, Giovanny Rodriguez, Head of Engineering and Zabbix Trainer, Imagunet, Colombia.
  • Deploying Secure Environments in Zabbix, Facundo Vilarnovo, Trainer, Zabbix, Argentina.

Additionally, as part of the Zabbix Conference 2025 activities, the partners who were present with booths and special initiatives for the more than 300 attendees were Lunio, IOS, Unirede by Selbetti, and JLCP, the event’s main sponsor. JLCP’s booth focused on artificial intelligence, a core part of the company’s operational and commercial strategy. On July 6, they also presented a success case on monitoring anomalies and changes in user behavior patterns.

Zabbix in Action: Innovation, Integration, and Strategic Monitoring

Continuing with the main stage sessions, a success case titled "Tecmundo Monitoring: From Infrastructure to Business Rules" was presented by Kleber Prando da Silva, Cloud Architect at NZN, Brazil. Since 2018, Kleber has specialized in using Zabbix, promoting its value and fully leveraging its potential in complex monitoring environments.

He showed how Tecmundo uses Zabbix to monitor everything from Azure infrastructure to audience metrics such as visitors and most-accessed content. He also covered techniques with External Check, Zabbix Sender/Trapper, and HTTP Agent to integrate technical and business data into a single view.

Lara Silva Xavier explored how the integration between Zabbix and OpenTelemetry enhances visibility in modern, distributed environments in her talk “Unifying Observability in Modern Environments with Zabbix and OpenTelemetry.”

She is a Senior DevOps and Observability Specialist at JLCP, Brazil, with a background in Electrical Engineering and postgraduate studies in Machine Learning, AI, and Cloud Architectures. During her session, she explained how combining traditional infrastructure monitoring with the collection of metrics, logs, and traces from cloud-native applications provides a unified view, improved correlation, and independence from proprietary tools.

As part of the closing session of Zabbix Conference Latam 2025, Apsen Farmacêutica shared how it has enhanced the use of Zabbix in critical environments. They presented how proactive monitoring has become a strategic pillar in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring the availability and reliability of critical assets that support the entire operation.

They detailed the implementation of Zabbix for continuous monitoring of machines and infrastructure, emphasizing the importance of preventive maintenance and comprehensive monitoring of the telecommunications and business chain—from critical systems like SAP to processes that directly impact billing.

This presentation was led by Jônatas da Silva Santos, IT Operations and Engineering Manager, and Andre Masao Terasaka, IT Specialist, both from Apsen Farmacêutica, Brazil.

Luciano Alves closed the 2025 edition by thanking all attendees and reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding Zabbix's reach, for example through the Zabbix Labs roadshows.

“Zabbix Conference Latam is the largest event about Zabbix and monitoring in Latin America. This is the time when we open our doors and warmly welcome the entire Zabbix ecosystem. The tool is powerful and well-known precisely because there is a network of companies, partners, and professionals who promote our product. We are grateful to all of you,” said Luciano Alves, CEO Latam.

The 2025 edition of Zabbix Conference Latam welcomed over 100 companies from various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, finance, government, IT solutions, steel, education, and more.

See you at Zabbix Conference Latam 2026! We invite you to stay connected and follow all the events we organize throughout the year.
