Zabbix Labs strengthens technical training in Colombia with successful editions in Bogotá and Medellín
Zabbix Labs 2025 arrived in Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia — on August 12 and 14 — and with these last two editions, this roadshow has now visited 7 cities across Latin America, attracting more than 600 participants to various locations for free professional training on the Zabbix tool.
First, on August 12, at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, 125 participants from nearly 60 companies gathered. Then, Zabbix Labs arrived in Medellín, held at the Sede de Investigación Universitaria (SIU) of the Universidad de Antioquia, bringing together over 100 attendees and nearly 70 companies.
In both cities, there was special participation from Imaguenet, Zabbix Premium Partner in Colombia, which was part of the presentation agenda, adding value and expertise to the technical content. The Zabbix Trainer for these editions was Facundo Vilarnorvo, who led the training sessions.
Zabbix Labs is an initiative created to promote education and professional development through free in-person events across Latin America. Aimed at technical teams that use or plan to implement Zabbix, it offers a full day of immersion with lectures on features, updates, and discussions, combining theory and practice to enhance the use of the tool.
“I was interested because we currently use Zabbix in the company and we are looking to maximize its potential… I would recommend it to everyone working in IT, since monitoring is essential,” said Ruth Florido, NOC Coordinator at STS Holística, participant in the Bogotá edition.
“It allows us to get first-hand information from qualified people and integrate it into our business,” added Jonathan Villamil Suárez, monitoring specialist, also in Bogotá.
In Medellín, other participants shared their experience, such as Beatriz Gómez, Specialized Services Analyst at Octopus, who highlighted the importance of specializing in Zabbix to improve the support they offer their clients, noting topics like integration with Telegram and automation.
Meanwhile, Angélica María Bonilla, from the Universidad de Antioquia, emphasized the value of automation and event correlation to apply them in her monitoring project: “You learn a lot here, and you have the opportunity to connect with people who work with the tool.”
Thus, another edition of Zabbix Labs took place, which will continue through:
- Brasília, August 20
- São Paulo, September 3
- Porto Alegre, date to be confirmed
- Mexico City, November 11
