Zabbix Forum Mexico 2025 drives innovation in open source monitoring and observability across the region

The fourth edition of Zabbix Forum Mexico successfully came to an end with a full house, bringing together more than 80 participants and consolidating the country as a strategic hub for innovation in open source monitoring and observability across Latin America.

The event gathered CTOs, CIOs, and IT leaders from key sectors such as telecommunications, government, finance, manufacturing, and retail, who shared real success stories and explored how open source tools drive efficiency, security, and scalability in corporate operations throughout the region.

<p><span data-contrast=During his presentation, Luciano Alves, CEO of Zabbix LATAM, emphasized that “the use of open source is deeply connected to a company’s culture of innovation. The organizations most oriented toward change are those that create solutions every day and rely on flexible platforms to advance toward a technological future.”

One of the most anticipated moments was the presentation of the regional study “The Adoption of Open Source Platforms for Monitoring Critical Environments in Latin America,” which analyzed the degree of technological maturity in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile.

Among the key findings, Mexico stands out for its digital robustness and capacity for technological investment:

  • 73% of Mexican companies already use monitoring solutions that are integrated or partially connected to business processes.
  • 40% allocate annual budgets between USD 200,000 and 500,000 for technology and monitoring.
  • 70% report a high level of integration between monitoring metrics and business decision-making.

"Claudia Medina, Director of Data & Analytics at IDC Latin America, delivered one of the main presentations of the event. She highlighted that observability platforms “enable more efficient, resilient, and secure operations by allowing the detection of incidents before they affect internal or external users.”

She also presented an IDC Latin America study outlining trends through 2026, stating that “the future will be hybrid,” and emphasizing that “organizations are looking to invest in technologies that allow them to remain flexible enough to reconfigure their strategies whenever necessary.”

Success Stories: High-Impact Implementations in Mexico

Zabbix Forum Mexico featured testimonials from organizations that have adopted Zabbix as their central monitoring platform in critical environments.

T-Systems Mexico, represented by Hebert Viveros (Head of Customer Delivery Management), shared how they consolidated Zabbix as the main solution for more than 40 global clients, ensuring 99.999% availability across critical infrastructures.

The case highlighted how enterprise open source enables the scaling of complex operations while maintaining world-class standards. One of their key clients, a government entity responsible for tax collection, adopted Zabbix to reduce costs and increase operational flexibility.

“We managed to reduce incidents and experienced no interruptions during peak tax collection periods,” said Viveros, adding that “understanding business logic is just as important as the technical side — we must think like technicians who can see beyond.”

Álvaro Madero Gorostieta, Director of Strategic Business at Execon Mexico, also shared how Zabbix integrates into complex enterprise architectures, providing flexibility and operational robustness.

Héctor González, advisor at CANIETI, discussed monitoring and observability trends in the telecommunications sector, while Rodolfo Alejandro Durand, IT Manager for Virtualized Services at the Mexican Football Federation, highlighted that one of the main benefits of Zabbix’s open source model is customization and the support of technical communities, which contribute high-value expertise.

The success of this fourth edition confirms the growing interest of the Mexican market in open source monitoring and observability solutions, which combine technological freedom, scalability, and corporate support, positioning Zabbix as a regional benchmark in the management of critical environments.
