Ganeti is a cluster virtualization manager built at Google. It runs virtual machines on Xen, KVM or LXC across commodity hardware with DRBD replication underneath, and handles failover, migration and node evacuation from a command line and a REST API.

Monitors a Ganeti cluster through its RAPI: cluster, node, instance and job state, creating the nodes and instances as Zabbix hosts through host prototypes. Bundled webhook scripts run failover, migration, reboot, shutdown, startup, VNC and node evacuation from the frontend.
