Terms of Service for Zabbix Mobile Application

Last Updated: 12 October, 2026

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE ("TERMS") CAREFULLY BEFORE CONNECTING TO OR USING THE SERVICES. BY LOGGING IN, CONNECTING THE APPLICATION TO A BACKEND, OR OTHERWISE USING THE SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SERVICES.

1. PARTIES

These Terms are entered into between:

Zabbix SIA, a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Latvia, registration No. 40003738045, registered office at Gustava Zemgala gatve 74, Riga, LV-1039, Latvia ("Vendor", "we", "us", or "our"), and

the individual or legal entity that connects to or otherwise uses the Services ("User", "you", or "your").

If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to that organisation.

2. DEFINITIONS

"Application" or "Mobile App" means the proprietary Zabbix Mobile Application provided by the Vendor for use on compatible mobile devices, including any updates, upgrades, patches or modifications made available by the Vendor.

"Backend" means the Zabbix Server or Zabbix Cloud environment that the Application connects to, as selected and configured by you or your Account Administrator.

"Zabbix Server" means a self-hosted or third-party-hosted instance of the Zabbix OSS monitoring software, licensed under the AGPLv3, which you or your organisation operate and control independently of the Vendor.

"Zabbix Cloud" means the Vendor's or its affiliate's hosted Zabbix service offering, where applicable, which is governed by separate terms of service for that offering in addition to these Terms to the extent they apply to your use of the Application in connection with it.

"Bridge" means the Vendor's proprietary cloud-hosted middleware service used to facilitate communication between the Application and supported systems.

"Bridge Adapter" means the Vendor's proprietary software module installed by you and used with the Bridge to enable interoperability with supported devices, systems, or services. These definitions are intended to have the same meaning as in the EULA.

"Software" means collectively the Mobile App, Bridge, Bridge Adapter, all related updates, patches, enhancements, documentation, and associated proprietary software provided by the Vendor.

"Software Account" means the existing Zabbix Server or Zabbix Cloud user account and credentials issued to you, typically by an Account Administrator, which you use to sign in to the Application. The Application does not issue or maintain a separate account system.

"Account Administrator" means the person(s) within your organisation responsible for provisioning, configuring and managing Software Accounts and access to the Backend.

"Customer Content" means data, information or other content made available to you through the Backend and viewed, accessed, or acted upon via the Application, including monitoring data, hosts, triggers, problems, events, dashboards, and related metadata.

"Services" means the connectivity, data transmission, synchronisation, notification, and related service functions made available by or through the Vendor in connection with the Application, including the Bridge where applicable. The Services exclude the Backend itself, except where you separately subscribe to Zabbix Cloud under the applicable Zabbix Cloud terms.

"EULA" means the End User License Agreement for the Zabbix Mobile Application, which grants the license to install and use the Software and governs intellectual property, warranties, liability, and related matters.

"Privacy Policy" means the Zabbix Mobile Application Privacy Policy, which describes how the Vendor processes personal data in connection with the Application.

"Subscription" means a time-limited or recurring entitlement to access specified paid features or services made available in connection with the Application, subject to the applicable subscription plan, order or other agreement with the Vendor or its authorised service provider.

3. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THESE TERMS, THE EULA AND THE PRIVACY POLICY

These Terms and the EULA form the contractual agreement governing your use of the Application and Services. The Privacy Policy explains the Vendor's processing of personal data in connection with the Application and Services.

The EULA governs your license to install and use the Software, and sets out intellectual property, warranty, liability, indemnification, sanctions and governing law terms applicable to the Software generally.

These Terms govern your use of the Services as a connected, account-based, data-synchronising service - in particular, authentication and login, connecting to your Backend, and data transmission, synchronisation and cloud features.

The Privacy Policy describes the Vendor's processing of your personal data. It is a privacy notice and does not limit rights or obligations under applicable data protection law.

In the event of a direct conflict between these Terms and the EULA, the EULA shall prevail for the license to install and use the Software, intellectual property ownership, and restrictions on the Software. These Terms shall prevail for the Services, Subscriptions, and account connections. The applicable Zabbix Cloud terms shall prevail for the Zabbix Cloud service itself. Personal data will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

4. ELIGIBILITY

The Services are available only to individuals who have been issued a valid Software Account by an Account Administrator or, in the case of Zabbix Cloud, in accordance with the applicable Zabbix Cloud terms. The Vendor does not offer public self-service sign-up through the Application. You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement and, where applicable, authorised by your organisation to use the Backend. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable consumer law.

5. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND LOGIN

5.1 No Separate Application Account

The Application does not create or maintain a separate user account. To access the Application, you must have an existing Software Account associated with your Backend (IX Server or IX Cloud) and complete the applicable device-registration or connection process. You do not sign in to the Application directly using your Software Account username and password.

5.2 Provisioning of Access

Your Software Account, including your username, permissions, and access scope, is provisioned and controlled by your Account Administrator (or, for Zabbix Cloud, in accordance with the applicable Zabbix Cloud terms). The Vendor does not control who is granted a Software Account or what permissions it carries.

5.3 Credential Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the confidentiality of your Software Account credentials, authentication tokens, and any device or client authentication identifiers generated when you register a device with the Application;
  • activity that occurs through the Application under your Software Account to the extent it results from your failure to take reasonable steps to protect your credentials, authentication tokens, or registered devices;
  • promptly notifying your Account Administrator and, where the suspected incident concerns the Application or Services, the Vendor, of unauthorised access to or use of your Software Account or a registered device.

5.4 Multi-Factor and Biometric Sign-In

Where supported by your device, you may use biometric authentication or other device-level security features to access the Application. Such authentication is performed by your device operating system; the Vendor does not receive or store biometric data, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

5.5 Suspension or Loss of Access

If your Software Account is suspended, deactivated, or revoked by your Account Administrator, or if your Backend becomes unavailable, your access to the Services through the Application will be correspondingly limited or unavailable. The Vendor is not responsible for access decisions made by your Account Administrator.

6. CONNECTING TO YOUR BACKEND

6.1 Choice of Backend

The Application is a companion client and does not function as a standalone monitoring solution. To use it, you must connect it to a Backend, being either:

  • Zabbix Server that you or your organisation deploys, hosts, configures and administers independently, under the AGPLv3; or
  • Zabbix Cloud, where the Backend is hosted by the Vendor under separate Zabbix Cloud terms.

6.2 Configuration and Compatibility

You are responsible for providing accurate connection details (such as server address, port, and any required certificates) and for ensuring your Zabbix Server version, configuration and network setup are compatible with the Application. The Vendor may publish minimum supported version requirements from time to time.

6.3 No Vendor Control Over Self-Hosted Backends

Where you connect the Application to a self-hosted Zabbix Server, except for the limited processing necessary to provide and secure the Services as described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy, the Vendor:

  • does not host, operate, monitor, back up, or secure that Zabbix Server;
  • does not control its configuration, uptime, or the Customer Content it holds;
  • is not responsible for the availability, integrity, accuracy or security of that Zabbix Server or the Customer Content it holds.

Your use of a self-hosted Zabbix Server remains subject to the AGPLv3 and is entirely independent of these Terms and the EULA, which do not grant or restrict any rights under the AGPLv3.

6.4 Backend Credentials and Network Access

The Application does not create or maintain a separate user account. To access the Application, you must have an existing Software Account associated with your Backend (IX Server or IX Cloud) and complete the applicable device-registration or connection process. You do not sign in to the Application directly using your Software Account username and password.

7. DATA TRANSMISSION, SYNCHRONISATION AND CLOUD FEATURES

7.1 Nature of Synchronisation

The Application periodically transmits requests to, and receives data from, your Backend in order to display Customer Content (such as problems, events, hosts, and dashboards) and to keep the Application's local view of that data reasonably current. Synchronisation frequency and scope may vary based on your settings, connectivity, Backend configuration, and Vendor-side rate limiting.

7.2 Dependency on Connectivity

Synchronisation and cloud-facilitated features require a working network connection between your device, the Services, and your Backend. The Vendor does not guarantee continuous, error-free, or real-time synchronisation, and is not responsible for delays or failures caused by your device, network, internet service provider, or Backend infrastructure.

7.3 Data in Transit and at Rest

The Vendor applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data processed through the Services, as described in the Privacy Policy. The security of a connection to a self-hosted Zabbix Server also depends on the network and Backend configuration under your or your organisation's control. Service infrastructure and push-notification providers may process the identifiers, tokens, and metadata necessary to establish connections and route notifications, as described in the Privacy Policy. The Application does not create or retain a separate, persistent copy of Customer Content solely because that content is accessed through the Application, except for local caching and display on your device as necessary to provide the requested functions.

7.4 Push Notifications

Where enabled, the Services may deliver push notifications (e.g., for problems or alerts triggered on your Backend) via third-party platform notification services (such as Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging). Those providers process push tokens and notification metadata to the extent necessary to deliver the notification. Delivery, timing, and reliability are subject to the relevant platform provider's systems and terms and are not guaranteed by the Vendor.

7.5 Offline and Cached Data

Data cached locally on your device for offline viewing may become outdated if the Application cannot synchronise with your Backend. You should not rely on cached data for time-critical operational or incident-response decisions without confirming currency through the Backend directly.

7.6 No Alternative to Backend Availability

The Services do not guarantee, and are not a substitute for, the availability, reliability or performance of your Backend. If your Zabbix Server or Zabbix Cloud instance is unavailable, the Application will be unable to synchronise or display current Customer Content regardless of the Services' own availability.

7.7 Service Limits

The Vendor may apply reasonable technical and operational limits to the Services, including limits on the number of devices that may be registered or connected to a Backend and on the rate or volume of synchronisation requests, notifications, or other communications.

The applicable limits will be displayed in the Application or specified in the relevant documentation. Limits may vary depending on the type and configuration of the Backend or the applicable service offering.

The Vendor may update these limits where reasonably necessary for security, capacity management, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or operational reasons. Where reasonably practicable, the Vendor will provide advance notice of any material reduction that may significantly affect your use of the Services

8. CUSTOMER CONTENT

As between you and the Vendor, you (or your organisation, as applicable) retain all rights in Customer Content. You grant the Vendor a limited, non-exclusive right to access, transmit, cache, and display Customer Content solely to the extent necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the Services, comply with applicable law, and exercise or defend legal claims. The Vendor does not claim ownership of Customer Content.

To the extent that Customer Content contains personal data, as between the Vendor and you (or your organisation, as applicable), you or your organisation remains the controller or, where applicable, the processor of such personal data. The Vendor will process such personal data only on the documented instructions of you or your organisation, except where otherwise required by applicable law, and as further described in the Privacy Policy and any applicable data processing agreement. You are responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights and permissions to access and process Customer Content through the Application, including in respect of any personal data of third parties contained in it.

9. ACCEPTABLE USE OF THE SERVICES

In addition to the Acceptable Use Policy set out in the EULA (which applies to the Software generally), you agree, in connection with your use of the Services specifically, not to:

  • use the Services to connect to a Backend you are not authorised to access;
  • attempt to intercept, redirect, or tamper with data transmitted between the Application, the Services and your Backend;
  • use the Services to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls applicable to your Backend or to the Services;
  • share your Software Account credentials or registered-device authentication tokens with unauthorised persons;
  • use the synchronisation or notification features to transmit unsolicited communications to third parties.

10. AVAILABILITY, CHANGES AND MAINTENANCE OF THE SERVICES

The Vendor will use reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of the connectivity and synchronisation components of the Services, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Vendor may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Services and may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance, in each case consistent with Section 7 (Software Updates and Maintenance) of the EULA and applicable law. Where reasonably practicable, the Vendor will provide advance notice of a material adverse change to core functionality. If mandatory law gives you a right to terminate because of such a change, that right is not affected by these Terms.

11. FEES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

11.1 Free Features

The Application is currently available free of charge, regardless of whether you connect it to a self-hosted Zabbix Server or to Zabbix Cloud as your Backend. Fees for Zabbix Cloud are governed exclusively by the applicable Zabbix Cloud agreement and not by these Terms. The Vendor will not charge you for an optional paid feature unless you expressly purchase or opt in to a Subscription.

11.2 Optional Subscriptions

The Vendor may offer optional, recurring, auto-renewing subscriptions ("Subscription") that provide access to additional Application features and are purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another applicable app marketplace ("App Store"). Before purchase, the Application or App Store listing will disclose the Subscription's title, included features, billing period, price, currency, any free-trial or introductory-offer conditions, and the fact that it renews automatically unless cancelled.

11.3 Billing and Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions are billed through the applicable App Store account rather than directly by the Vendor. Payment is charged at purchase confirmation and at the start of each renewal period. Unless you cancel before the renewal deadline shown by the applicable App Store, the Subscription renews automatically for the period and at the price disclosed by that App Store, subject to applicable law and the App Store's terms.

11.4 Managing and Cancelling a Subscription

You can view, manage, and cancel a Subscription through the subscription settings of the applicable App Store. The Vendor will provide, within the Application where required, a reasonably accessible method or link for managing or cancelling the Subscription. Uninstalling the Application does not cancel an active Subscription. Unless applicable law or the App Store's terms provide otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and access continues until then.

11.5 Price Changes

The Vendor may change Subscription pricing for future purchase or renewal periods. Existing subscribers will receive the notice, and their consent will be obtained, where required by applicable law and the App Store's terms. You may cancel before a new price applies.

11.6 Refunds and Taxes

Refund eligibility and requests for App Store purchases are governed by applicable law and the applicable App Store's terms and processes. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right to a refund or other remedy. The applicable App Store may collect VAT, sales, use, or similar taxes as required by law.

12. RELATIONSHIP WITH AGPLv3-LICENSED ZABBIX OSS

The Services are designed to interoperate with Zabbix OSS (including a self-hosted Zabbix Server) via documented APIs and network protocols. The Application, Bridge, and Bridge Adapter are separate proprietary products of the Vendor and are provided under the EULA, not under the AGPLv3. Nothing in these Terms grants any rights under the AGPLv3 with respect to the Application, Bridge, or Bridge Adapter, and nothing in these Terms restricts any rights you or others have under the AGPLv3 with respect to Zabbix OSS itself.

13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Services may rely on or connect with third-party products or infrastructure, including mobile platform push-notification services, cloud hosting providers, and, where applicable, Zabbix Cloud. The Vendor does not control third-party services and does not guarantee their availability or performance. Use of Zabbix Cloud, mobile app stores, or other third-party services is separately subject to their own terms. Nothing in this Section excludes the Vendor's obligations under applicable law in relation to service providers processing personal data on the Vendor's behalf.

14. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

The Vendor processes personal data in connection with the Services, including account and authentication information, technical and usage information, device registration data, country-level location information where permission is granted, and support communications, as described in the Privacy Policy. The Vendor processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and other applicable data protection law. The Privacy Policy is provided for transparency and is not a request for consent except where consent is expressly requested for a specific processing activity.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND SOFTWARE LICENSE

Your right to install and use the Application is governed by the EULA. These Terms do not grant any additional license to the Software. All intellectual property rights in the Software remain with the Vendor as set out in the EULA.

16. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES - INCLUDING ALL CONNECTIVITY, SYNCHRONISATION, AND CLOUD-FACILITATION FEATURES - ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, AS FURTHER DESCRIBED IN SECTION 12 OF THE EULA, WHICH APPLIES TO THE SERVICES AS IF SET OUT IN FULL IN THESE TERMS. WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE VENDOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT DATA SYNCHRONISATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY BACKEND WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE OR COMPATIBLE. THIS SECTION DOES NOT EXCLUDE ANY STATUTORY GUARANTEE, REMEDY, OR OTHER RIGHT THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The limitations of liability set out in Section 13 of the EULA apply equally to the Services and are incorporated into these Terms by reference. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Vendor is not liable for losses to the extent caused by the unavailability, misconfiguration, or security of a Backend or network outside the Vendor's control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

18. INDEMNIFICATION

If you use the Services in the course of a trade, business, craft, or profession, the indemnification obligations in Section 14 of the EULA apply to your use of the Services, including third-party claims arising from your unlawful Backend configuration, your material breach of obligations concerning Software Account credentials, or Customer Content that you are not authorised to access or transmit. This Section does not apply to consumers.

19. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

The Vendor may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, in whole or in part, if:

  • you materially breach these Terms, the EULA, or the Acceptable Use Policy and, where the breach is capable of remedy, fail to remedy it within a reasonable period after notice;
  • your Software Account is suspended, deactivated or revoked by your Account Administrator or, for Zabbix Cloud, by the Vendor;
  • the Vendor reasonably believes immediate suspension is necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Services or any Backend;
  • required to comply with applicable law, including Section 16 (Trade and Economic Sanctions Compliance) of the EULA.

Where reasonably practicable, the Vendor will notify you of the reason for a suspension or termination. Termination of these Terms does not by itself terminate your Software Account or affect your Backend, which remain governed by your separate arrangements with your Account Administrator or, for Zabbix Cloud, the applicable Zabbix Cloud terms. Sections intended by their nature to survive termination shall survive, consistent with Section 15 of the EULA.

20. EXPORT CONTROL AND SANCTIONS COMPLIANCE

You agree to comply with the trade and economic sanctions and export control obligations set out in Section 16 of the EULA, which apply equally to your use of the Services, including obligations relating to comprehensive-sanctions jurisdictions, restricted parties, and export-controlled end-uses.

21. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, excluding its conflict of law rules, consistent with Section 17 of the EULA. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Riga City Court of the Republic of Latvia, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. If you are a consumer, this choice of law and forum does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings available under the law of your habitual residence.

22. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

The Vendor may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, legal or regulatory requirements, security needs, or other legitimate operational reasons. The updated Terms will be posted at a publicly accessible URL and identified by an updated effective date. The Vendor will provide reasonable advance notice of a material adverse change unless an urgent legal or security reason requires a shorter period. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Any statutory right to reject a change or terminate the Services is not affected.

23. MISCELLANEOUS

23.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the EULA and any additional terms expressly accepted by you, constitute the entire agreement between the parties concerning the Application and Services and supersede prior communications and understandings on that subject. The Privacy Policy describes the Vendor's processing of personal data but does not form part of the parties' contractual obligations unless applicable law provides otherwise. A separate written Zabbix Cloud, enterprise support, or other services agreement may govern in addition to or, where it expressly states, instead of these Terms for the subject matter of that agreement.

23.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

23.3 No Waiver

No failure or delay by the Vendor in exercising any right under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right.

23.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without the Vendor's prior written consent, which will not be unreasonably withheld where applicable law requires otherwise. The Vendor may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganisation, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all relevant assets, provided that the assignment does not reduce any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

23.5 Relationship of the Parties

Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and the Vendor.
