DATAPREV (Empresa de Tecnologia e Informações da Previdência Social) is the technology and information bureau of the Brazilian social welfare system. It is a public institution responsible for maintaining statistics related to the social security namely retirements, pensions, provided services, work-related accidents and finances as well as processing social security benefits and claims thus processing the state payroll and participating in the income distribution among 25 millions of Brazilians.
