Zabbix 6.0 LTS released

Zabbix LLC today announced the release of their latest Zabbix Long Term Support (LTS) version. Zabbix 6.0 LTS brings many long-awaited features and improvements. The LTS versions are a major part of the Zabbix release cycle and come with guaranteed 5-year support providing additional features, fixes, and improvements throughout its life-cycle. With Zabbix instances being deployed all over the world for many different use cases and infrastructures of varying sizes, the goal of the Zabbix 6.0 LTS release is to deliver the most requested features covering many different aspects of monitoring. The new features aim to deliver additional value to Business Service providers, DevOps, and ITOps teams, as well as improve the overall monitoring workflow and provide new insights on many different levels. Adding value to your Business Services
Service monitoring has gone through a substantial redesign. Zabbix 6.0 LTS aims to provide additional value for users' business by utilizing the new Business Service monitoring (BSM) features. Business Service monitoring combines flexibility, performance, and improved UI/UX to give our end users the tools they need to monitor their business services and perform automated root cause analysis. The improved SLA reporting functionality developed in partnership with S&T Slovakia provides the tools required to track the business service level indicators (SLI) to ensure that your team meets the set service level objectives (SLO).
Zabbix Server cluster support
The out-of-the-box high availability solution allows Zabbix users to deploy a Zabbix Server HA cluster without the use of any external tools. Users can now deploy one or multiple standby nodes to ensure zero downtime during unplanned outages, server upgrades, or other maintenance tasks.
Introduction of Machine learning
With Zabbix machine learning, anomaly detection, and baseline monitoring are now easier than ever. Our goal was to provide a simple yet flexible set of functionality that enables our users to utilize a machine learning approach instead of relying only on static problem thresholds.
Kubernetes monitoring
With containers and container orchestration systems becoming more and more prevalent in the IT world, it was extremely important for the latest Zabbix LTS release to provide an adequate monitoring solution for such infrastructures. Zabbix 6.0 LTS release provides DevOps teams with the means required to monitor such environments. With the support of pod, node, and Kubernetes internal component monitoring, Zabbix users now have the ability to monitor their Kubernetes instances on multiple levels.
Improved data collection and visualization
Zabbix 6.0 LTS comes pre-packaged with many new templates for the most popular vendors, such as Dell, Cisco, F5, Cloudflare, and many others. In addition to improved data collection, the new version also provides many new ways to visualize the collected data. ITOps teams will find great value in the ability to define geographic maps and populate them with the monitored entities thus gaining a better overview of the company infrastructure status. The release also provides a more in-depth look at the collected data with a brand new set of widgets, such as Top and Bottom N data overviews, SLA status visualization, and more.
Updated training courses and upgrade services
Alongside the release of the Zabbix 6.0 LTS version, Zabbix offers an updated set of professional training courses designed for Zabbix 6.0 LTS. The training courses cover all of the Zabbix 6.0 LTS features - from learning the GUI features and basic navigation to deploying complex distributed environments and learning the inner workings of Zabbix internal processes. Zabbix LLC also provides an upgrade service to users that wish to upgrade their Zabbix instance from their current version to Zabbix 6.0 LTS - fully documented, with best-practice in mind.
In addition to the new features, Zabbix 6.0 LTS also includes many UI/UX improvements, performance improvements, and a new set of monitoring templates and integrations for the most popular vendors such as pfSense, F5, Mikrotik, Dell, HPE, and many others. Zabbix 6.0 LTS release provides the added benefit of bringing the changes from previous non-LTS releases - Zabbix 5.2 and Zabbix 5.4, to the new LTS version.
