Open Source Product Security Engineer

Location: Zabbix Headquarters, Riga, Latvia

As a part of our team you will:

• Take technical ownership of security deliverables across our products
• Perform continuous security testing and vulnerability assessments
• Identify, triage and help resolve discovered security issues
• Consult and guide developers on secure coding practices
• Conduct threat modelling for new features and architectural changes
• Maintain and improve internal security policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Implement security tools and automation to strengthen security workflows
• Integrate security checks into the CI/CD pipeline, making security a core part of development

What we expect:

• A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience as a Software Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer or developer/tester with a strong interest in a product security
• Familiarity with software development languages such as C, C++, PHP, JavaScript or Go
• Good understanding of web application security principles and common attack vectors
• Knowledge or the SDLC and DevOps practices
• Experience working with Unix/Linux environments
• Strong analytical thinking, self-management, and collaboration skills
• Very good technical English
• Security certifications like CSSLP, CEH, OSCP, or eWPT are a plus

Compensation:

• Monthly salary (gross): 3600.00 to 4600.00 EUR
