Bridge adapter
Zabbix bridge adapter lets your Zabbix server communicate with Zabbix mobile app.
Zabbix mobile app doesn't connect to your Zabbix server directly. Instead, two components pass data between them:
- Zabbix Bridge - a centrally hosted service that exchanges data with Zabbix mobile app on your mobile device.
- Zabbix bridge adapter - a component that you install and run. It connects your Zabbix server to Zabbix Bridge.
The bridge adapter can be installed on the same system as your Zabbix server, or on a different system, using packages.
To configure Zabbix bridge adapter, update its configuration file (default path: /etc/zabbix/zabbix_bridge_adapter.conf).
Data flow
When you use Zabbix mobile app, data travels as follows:

You perform an action in Zabbix mobile app, which then sends a query to Zabbix Bridge.

Zabbix Bridge passes the query to Zabbix bridge adapter as a JSON-RPC request.

Zabbix bridge adapter checks whether the requested Zabbix API method is allowed. If the method isn't allowed, the bridge adapter rejects the request. If the method is allowed, the bridge adapter sends the request to Zabbix API.

Zabbix API processes the request and returns a response to Zabbix bridge adapter.

Zabbix bridge adapter returns the response to Zabbix Bridge.

Zabbix Bridge passes the response to Zabbix mobile app, which shows the data on your mobile device.
