App overview

Zabbix mobile app (coming soon) lets you monitor your Zabbix environment from your mobile device. View problems, check their details, update problems, and get push notifications when something needs attention.

This page gives you an overview of the mobile app and how to use it.

Problems

The Problems screen shows you an overview of problems based on your pinned filters. It contains:

  • Settings icon - tap to see app settings.
  • All filters - tap to see and manage filters.
  • Zabbix server name (or Zabbix, if not configured when installing the Zabbix web interface).
  • Pinned filters - tap their name or a severity to open the Problem list screen. Tap the three-dot menu to manage the filter: edit, duplicate, unpin, or delete it. Note that pinned filters are ordered alphabetically, and the Recent problems filter cannot be edited and removed.
  • Create filter - tap to create a new filter.

Notifications

When Zabbix server detects a problem, it can send a notification to your mobile device. The notification contains the problem host, name, and a message generated from the message templates configured for the push notification media type.

Tap the notification to open the Problem details screen.

All filters

The All filters screen lets you manage filters. It contains:

  • Filter names - tap to edit the filter.
  • Pin icons - tap to pin or unpin the filter to the Problems screen.
  • Create filter - tap to create a new filter.

Create filter

The Create filter screen lets you create a filter, with options similar to those in Monitoring > Problems (see details). You can also set a Time range for how long to show unresolved problems.

Tap Create filter to save the filter. New filters are pinned to the Problems screen; tap the pin icon to change this.

Problem list

The Problem list screen shows problems that match the filter (e.g., Recent problems).

Tap the filter icon or a problem severity to narrow the list further.

For each problem, you can see:

  • Start time and date.
  • Severity, name, and host.
  • Whether it was acknowledged or recently closed (resolved automatically or closed manually).
  • Whether it has symptoms - tap to see the symptom problem list.

Tap a problem to open the Problem details screen.

Tap the three-dot menu to quickly acknowledge the problem, or suppress it for a time you choose.

Problem details

The Problem details screen shows you problem details, actions, and history.

  • Details tab - shows the problem description, expressions, symptom problems (tap to see the problem list), and tags.
  • Actions tab - shows the problem timeline: when it started or was acknowledged, whether a notification was sent, and other actions.
  • History tab - shows the problem age, duration, and recovery time (or – if the problem is still ongoing).

Tap Update problem to update the problem.

Update problem

The Update problem screen lets you update a problem:

  • Add a message.
  • Change the problem severity.
  • Suppress the problem for a time you choose.
  • Acknowledge or unacknowledge the problem.
  • Close the problem.

Tap Update to save your changes.

Settings

The Settings screen lets you access app settings. It contains:

  • Zabbix server name (or Zabbix, if not configured when installing the Zabbix web interface).
  • Name, type, and role of the user the mobile device is added to.
  • Connection keys - open to see and copy the server ID, device ID, and other details.
  • Remove device - tap to remove the mobile device from Zabbix.
  • Security & Privacy - open to enable app lock and manage diagnostic data sharing.
  • Send feedback - open to send feedback to Zabbix.
  • App version.
