APM log object

The following objects are directly related to the apmlog API.

Each property corresponds to the column with the same name in the otel_logs table of the telemetry data source (e.g., severity_text property corresponds to the SeverityText column). For the list of columns, see Supported telemetry data columns.

APM log

The APM log object represents a log record (a text record of an event, such as a failed payment or a database timeout). A log record contains information about an event that occurred at a specific time, including its severity, message, and attributes. If a log record was produced during an operation that is part of a trace, it also contains the IDs of that trace and span.

The APM log object has the following properties:

timestamp integer Unix time (in nanoseconds) when the event occurred.

traceid string ID, if any, of the trace during which the log record was produced.

spanid string ID, if any, of the span during which the log record was produced.

Property behavior:

trace_flags integer Trace flags of the trace context of the log record, as a bitmask.
If the least significant bit is set (value 1), the trace is sampled.

Property behavior:

severity_text string Severity level of the log record, as provided by the application (e.g., INFO, WARN, or ERROR).

Property behavior:
- read-only
severity_number integer Severity level of the log record, as a number.

Possible values:
0 - UNSPECIFIED;
1-4 - TRACE;
5-8 - DEBUG;
9-12 - INFO;
13-16 - WARN;
17-20 - ERROR;
21-24 - FATAL.

service_name string Name of the service that produced the log record (e.g., zabbix-frontend), taken from the OpenTelemetry service.name resource attribute.

Property behavior:

body string Message of the log record.

resource_schema_url string URL, if any, of the OpenTelemetry schema of the resource attributes.

resource_attributes object Key-value resource attributes of the log record (e.g., host.name: eabf8c2a5ddc).

scope_schema_url string URL, if any, of the OpenTelemetry schema of the instrumentation scope and its attributes.

Property behavior:

scope_name string Name of the instrumentation scope that produced the log record.

Property behavior:

scope_version string Version, if any, of the instrumentation scope.

Property behavior:
- read-only
scope_attributes object Key-value attributes of the instrumentation scope.

Property behavior:
- read-only
log_attributes object Key-value log attributes of the log record (e.g., log.file.path: /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_frontend.log).

Property behavior:

event_name string Name, if any, of the event type that the log record represents.
